The Arts

Art, Art Walks, Artists, and more, let this be your resource to Seattle's bustling art scene.

Pablo Picasso once said, "Painting is just another way of keeping a diary," and in these historic and monumental times, it is worth noticing how this generation of artists depicts our world of today.

Have you heard about Glassybaby, the Seattle glass studio that took the votive world by storm a few years ago? From their studios on Union at 32nd in Seattle, they provide their fabulous, colorful and sought-after votives to restaurants, shops and homes across the country. If you're already a collector, or you want to be!, this week is one of their rare sales. Stock up now for the holidays! Follow this link to shop online, or head to the sale on foot!

Jackpot!  There is no better way to navigate through Seattle's art world, then guided by Seattle artists.  I found a great PDF from Seattle's Convention and Visitors Bureau.  This 17 page guide is chalk-full of Northwest artist insights. They left no stone un-turned in this fantastic publication.  It is well worth the read, even the ink and staple.  Here is the direct link to the Artists' Guide to Seattle, 2nd Edition.

Enjoy!
