As a Northwest native, I love all that Seattle has to offer. The energy of the region is contagious. Seattle, like other great cities of the world, has distinct neighborhoods whose vibe is apparent even to a casual visitor. Seattle is known as the coffee capital of the world, and Washington wines have gained international attention. Seattle Times Updated Story

I typically try to keep this pretty light on this side of the web.

That said, it is hard to ignore EVERY news agency out there. So, I thought I would honor this historical event for our nation with a posting.

In no way is this making light of such as seriously relevant issue, but it is a nice departure from the headlines all of us have been reading.
